Filling up for less

I'm a weirdo. Many people who work with me will agree without hesitation. I've been tracking my gasoline information since March 28, 1996. I had information going further than 1996, but I lost it on a very old HP LX-100 (ran MS-DOS!).

Anyway, my point is that gasoline has not been this inexpensive since March 30, 2007.

Very nice to fill up for less than $70! Bring on the sub-$2.00 prices!

Interesting. I didn't know you were one of "those" weirdos. Do you really track every time you put gas in the car? I think I've met one or two people who have done that, but I didn't realize there was one of "those" people in my close vicinity.

It reminds me a little of when we were going through my grandfather's stuff earlier this year. He had saved all his day-planners for previous years. So he had this big stack of little books where we could see when he had doctors' appointments years ago, etc. We all laughed when we saw that because that was very typical for him.

Yep, I write down the miles on the receipt and then enter that into Excel. So I can tell you lots of interesting things about my usage over the past 12 years. Just trivia really, but interesting how I've reduced my weekly travel since taking this job.
